Developed by Eden Games, Test Drive Unlimited 2 is the most awaited car racing video game announced to release on 8th February 2011 in North America and 11th February in Europe. The game is set on two islands: Ibiza, and Oahu and the gameplay requires the player to earn experience points to level up through the 60 levels. These points can be earned via 4 categories i.e. Competition (racing, completing challenges), Social (making friends in the game, race against other people, joining clubs), Discovery (discover all roads, take photographs of specific locations, find all car wrecks) and Collection (buy cars, houses, furniture, clothing/basic need’s). 4. Batman: Arkham City – PS3, Win, Xbox 360
Batman – Arkham City
Based on the comic Batman, Batman Arkham City is the sequel to action-adventure stealth video game Batman: Arkham Asylum. The game is developed by Rocksteady Studios. An official announcement was made during the beginning of the 2009 Spike Video Game Awards and the game is currently scheduled to be released in Q3 2011. This time the game will include multiplayer features. As the game is the sequel of Arkham Asylum, the story for Arkham City takes place one year after the events of Arkham Asylum. Quincy Sharp, former warden of Arkham Asylum, has taken credit for stopping the Joker, and used that notoriety to become mayor of Gotham City. Catowoman, the past relationship of Batman and Gotham are in danger so Batman decides to enter the city for both their safety. The sequel was confirmed by famed Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy to be “really, really dark”. While relating the game’s dark nature to the animated movie Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Conroy also said, “It involves a lot of the villains and it goes to that area – it’s that dark.”

3. Duke Nukem Forever – Xbox 360, Win, PS3
Dude Nukem Forever
A sequel to the 1996 game Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem Forever is an upcoming first-person shooter video game for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems, currently in development by Gearbox Software. The story of the Sci-fi game revolves around an alien attack and the resistance shown to save the land. Duke Nukem Forever is being developed by 3D Releams. The official release date of the game is set as May 3, 2011 in North America, with a worldwide release following on May 6, 2011. The game has faced significantly long delays making it’s release a big news as well as a joke among the masses. Jason Hall, host of The Jace Hall Show, featured Duke Nukem Forever in the show’s premiere episode on June 4, 2008 and described his hands-on play experience with the game as “perfect”, ending the segment with “I saw it.
2. Metal Gear Solid: Rising – PS3, Win, Xbox 360
Metal Gear Solid: Rising
This year Kojima productions are coming up with their action video game, Metal Gear: Rising, latest in the Metal Gear Series. Rising is an interquel set between the events of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The news about the game was hinted for the first time during Hideo Kojima’s keynote presentation at the 2009 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Since then it’s release has been a desperate wait. It’s a fast paced game unlike the other parts of the series with the gameplay focused on swordfighting, and a style of stealth that is more fast-paced and action-oriented than in previous titles, which are Tactical Espionage Action games. Main feature for the game is titled zan-datsu which involves cutting through enemies and “taking” parts from the bodies. The game is expected to release sometime in 2011 despite facing some censorship issues. Sony has made an announcement that the PlayStation 3 version of Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be in 3D. 1. Brink – Xbox 360, Win, PS3
First person shooter, 8v8 player and cooperate multi player action video game, Brink is scheduled for release on May 17, 2011 in the US and May 20 in Europe after two delays in it’s release. The game is developed by Splash Damage, the creators of Enemy Territory. Brink is a first-person shooter built around a story mode playable online with up to 8 players in a co-operative style, against bots, or in competitive team-against-team multi-player. The game offers full cosmetic customization of characters via gear bought with experience points earned by completing objectives. Brink’s plot is based on the battle of two sides Resistance and Security, in the utopian city called The Ark, a floating city surrounded by the waters of a flooded Earth. The city of 5000 residents was designed as a prototype of environment friendly city, with renewable assets and no contamination. However, due to many refugees entering the city from other parts of the world, its population has grown ten times greater, affecting the environment and stability of the city.
