Will Smith happens to be one of my favorite actors. He was born on the 25th September of year 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He is otherwise known as The Fresh Prince. His career started in the year 1985 and since then he has tried his luck in acting, producing and even rapping. This list discusses ten of his highest grossing movies till date along with the original synopsis. I hope you enjoy the read.
10. I, ROBOT
Humans have become exceedingly dependent on robots in their everyday lives. Robots have become more and more advanced, but each one is preprogrammed to always obey humans and to, under no circumstances, ever harm a human. So, when a scientist turns up dead and a humanoid robot is the main suspect, the world is left to wonder if they are as safe around their electronic servants as previously thought. Will Smith stars as Del Spooner, the robot-hating Chicago cop assigned to the murder investigation.
9. ENEMY OF THE STATE
Robert Clayton Dean, played by Will Smith, is a devoted father, husband, and attorney shopping for a sexy gift for his wife. What he doesn’t know is that he was given a videotape from a friend (Jason Lee) regarding the recent murder of a U.S. senator led by corrupt National Security Agency official Thomas Reynolds (Jon Voight). Now Reynolds is after Dean to cover his tracks or, as the audience soon finds out, frame Dean for Rachel’s murder. Since Dean isn’t up on his high-tech gadgetry, he needs the aid of ex-intelligence operative Brill (Gene Hackman). Between the explosions and chases is the subtext of George Orwell’s 1984 mantra “beware of big brother,” as Dean realizes that in the modern world, there is no such thing as total privacy.
8. THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS
True-life story of a single dad who went from living on the streets to owning his own brokerage firm is brought to the big screen by superstar Will Smith, appearing for the first time opposite his real-life son Jaden Smith. Set in early-’80s San Francisco, the film charts the hard times and eventual comeback of Chris Gardner, a suddenly single salesman who has custody of his son, but finds that providing for the two of them is a challenge in the increasingly unstable economic climate. He struggles to work his way from unpaid intern at Dean Witter to something more substantial, even as life continues to offer him setbacks.
7. SHARK TALE
Oscar is a small but ambitious fish who dreams of making something of himself, and when a dropped anchor accidentally kills Frankie, Oscar is suddenly (if mistakenly) celebrated as “the shark killer.” Oscar’s overnight fame attracts the attentions of Lola (voice of Angelina Jolie), a slinky dragon fish who woos Oscar away from his steady date, Angie (voice of Renée Zellweger); however, Oscar strikes up a friendship with Lenny and has to decide what to do when Don Lino and Sykes decides it’s time to “take care” of the “different” shark.
A man who teaches dateless wonders how to become irresistible to women learns just how hard it can be to do it yourself in this romantic comedy. When a guy in New York City wants to make the right impression with a certain lady, Alex “Hitch” Hitchens (Will Smith) is the man he calls. Hitch has made a career out of coordinating a man’s first three dates so that they’ll show him to his best advantage (for a price, of course), and more than a few have taken women to the altar they first started courting with Hitch’s help. But Hitch discovers his own romantic limitations when he falls for Sara (Eva Mendes)
